Job Title: Maintenance Technician Supervisor
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Maintenance Technician Supervisor to join our team for the 3rd shift (11pm-6am, working 50 hours a week starting from the second week). In this role, you will support all aspects of the local Maintenance team and report directly to the Operations Manager. This is a working supervisor position, where you will be actively involved on the shop floor, collaborating with the maintenance team as needed.
Responsibilities
Coordinate the daily activities of the maintenance teams
Manage employees' attendance and hours worked
Evaluate employee performance
Utilize and enforce progressive discipline policy as needed
Delegate maintenance assignments to appropriate teams and personnel
Train and coach new and current employees
Inspect all materials and equipment to detect malfunctions
Lead all employees in company safety initiatives, foster a safe work environment, and enforce/support safety policies and rules
Understand required PPE (how to select and why it is required)
Essential Skills
Three or more years of previous supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment
Ability to maintain maintenance operations through supervising, planning, scheduling, and monitoring labor productivity
Previous hands-on experience in a manufacturing maintenance environment
Experience in Hydraulics and PLCs
Electrical experience
Strong leadership and coaching skills
Experience managing preventive maintenance in a production/manufacturing environment
Comfort with computers and programs like Office and Excel
Strong communication skills
Ability to problem solve and resolve issues
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Ability to work any shift is preferred
Experience in service, conveyor, installation, industrial, welding, and electrical troubleshooting
Knowledge of 3-phase and 480V systems
Proficiency in maintenance technician tasks, including electrical, hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanical troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance
Ability to read and interpret schematics and blueprints
Motor repair skills
High school diploma or GED
Two years of industrial maintenance experience
PLC troubleshooting experience is a plus

Work Environment
This position requires working on the 3rd shift (11pm-6am, 50 hours a week starting from the second week) in a heavy steel manufacturing environment. The facility is dirty and not well lit, featuring a mix of new and old equipment. The team consists of 50+ full-time workers, with roughly 120 people in production, including full-time and temporary staff.
