Eastern Michigan University Transfer Equivalency Coordinator in Ypsilanti, Michigan

Title: Trans Equivalency Coord Employee Classification: PT Pay Grade: PT 07 Division: Academic and Student Affairs Subdivision: Office of the Registrar Department: Academic Programming and Services Campus Location: Main Campus General Summary Review catalogs from Michigan and Ohio colleges and universities. Provide information to academic departments to assist them in determining transfer course equivalencies. Record decisions in university databases and, upon request, provide listings of equivalencies on Transfer Guides. Principal Duties and Responsibilities Review college and university catalogs and provide information to academic departments to assist them in determining transfer course equivalencies. Correspond with departments regarding course equivalency verifications and approvals. Maintain record of transfer equivalencies determined by academic departments in student information systems. Respond to inquiries from departments, students, colleges and universities. Develop and maintain Transfer Guides as requested by colleges and universities. Maintain a tracking system for outstanding equivalencies and progress reporting. Maintain a library of college and university catalogs. Assist with on-and off-campus recruitment programs, as necessary. Provide academic departments with information to determine international transfer equivalencies and record decisions in our databases and web lists. Perform related departmental duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications: Knowledge and skills in organization, analysis, problem-solving and planning, typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree, are necessary.

Two years of experience with course equivalency determinations in higher education is required.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are necessary.

Experience with search engines and the web is required. Preferred Qualifications: Working knowledge of student information systems is preferred.

Knowledge of the University's Red Flags Rule and Identify Theft Prevention Policy and Procedure is preferred. Appointment Percentage: 100%
